  Magnetic therapy -nikken products

DougBuchanan wrote on the 26 November 2011

The AMERICAN PROBLEM is their government controlling industry based on who gives which Congressmen how much money for which laws that destroy competition. Through purchased "laws" and other use of money, the extremely wealthy American pharmaceutical industry "influences" the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to effect bureaucratic process costs for the "approval" of anything medical, beyond the financial ability of any related industry, except the pharmaceutical industry. Ergo: The official "clinical tests" and "medical proofs" do not exist because they cannot be legally performed because of artificial cost requirements (millions of dollars per item).

Magnets, like hemp and other inexpensive treatments cannot be patented by the pharmaceutical industry to increase their profits, to they are not allowed to compete. It is just normal government corruption on the grand American scale.

My comment is derived from certain inside knowledge of the repugnant pharmaceutical industry tactics, by power-damaged minds who worship money, and hold the lives of non-wealthy people in unmitigated contempt and disregard.

If you want researched health knowledge you must look to countries other than USA.

Respectfully, DougBuchanan

While I have some understanding I find your post quite, well, extreme.

There is a huge difference between the physical world and the other world of spirit, imagination, fantasy and inner worlds we all have access to, either as embodied experience or journeying into.

It is I believe very important to recognise the difference. How is your practical every day physical life... keeping yourself safe, fed, sheltered etc in this physical world. Once this is achieved, only then can you even start to address the reality of the experiences you have written about here.

  healing retreat

Bella responded on the 03 September 2011

Try contact some of the retreat centres listed here.

Having said that, it sounds more like you are looking for a community, to find one of those would probably require getting involved in communal meditation groups, there are many of them, some affiliated to retreat centres up and down the country.

  healing retreat

tina wrote on the 03 September 2011

hi
i cant profess to be a practising buddhist. i have read many buddhist books and veer towards the works of rinproche. i have attended meditation classes. i have had periods where i have meditated but prefer silent contemplation and reflection.

i find myself with some complex food intolerance issues that i need time to sort out and i would rather be in supportive communtiy than on my own. googling i just find hotel type retreats which is not what i am looking for. i need very simple living, taking care of myself, with very simple food or the ability to cater for myself.
buddhist teaching reflections or simple meditations would be welcomed but would not dominate.if anyone has any ideas or recomendations, i would be pleased to hear them

thank you

HATRED RUINS YOUR LIFE - ENJOY MOST EFFE

vikram wrote on the 17 August 2011

The mechanics of blame is simple. Someone has harmed you in some way in your past. You feel hurt and angry, and that anger ultimately turns to hatred. You carry it around with you wherever you go. You have given someone permission not only to hurt you once, but to controlling your inner life. We become prisoners without hope of achieving of awakening and happiness for ourselves. This is how blame works in us, and why it is futile and destructive activity.

  Concerns Dhamma dipa retreat

sue wrote on the 14 August 2011

A close family member has returned from a 10 day retreat and has had a major, sudden and acute breakdown, now gradually coming through it. They have absolutely no history of mental health problems, very balanced, emotionally mature, healthy and happy person. No life issues going on at all. Their fundamental good mental health and personal courage and efforts is getting them through this, along with the support of family, friends and the mental health Crisis Service.

We accept that the majority of people on the retreat do not have such a severe negative reaction. But some do. Contrary to what is stated on the Dhamma dipa centre web site, we know that you do not have to have an underlying psychological problem for this to happen. I t would help us to hear about other people's milder experiences after a retreat such as: any difficulties sleeping; weight loss; difficult experiences using the mediation technique; feeling overly opened up and/or blissed out; feeling overly connected to everything; feeling psychically dismantled in anyway.
Also, any tips on how you dealt with these experiences would be gratefully received.
We are all focusing on getting the person we love through this. Our intention is to make contact with the Centre soon. We believe at the very least there needs to be sensible warnings and advice on after care and opportunities for feedback and complaints too. We want to do what we can to prevent any other person and family going through this frightening experience if possible.

Psychotherapy is strongly advised when people have a "breakdown" as it can easily be missunderstood, especilly by close family and friends.

A useful question is often... What tempted, inspired you to go on the retreat, what were you hopeful of/looking for.

If you are close to the person, do your best to allow days/weeks for this question to be answered and try not to feed into the answers given.

A Simple Path is based on talks by The Dalai Lama given in London during the mid 1990’s the Dalai Lama is widely respected as one of the world's great spiritual teachers of Tibetan Buddhism, most traditions find his work both acceptable and inspiring, because he tends to stress the universal features rather than narrow and restricted doctrine. The book covers the Four Noble Truths: the nature of suffering; the origin of suffering and the law of karma; cessation of suffering through liberation; and the path to achieving this. There are also many fantastic quality images of Tibet.

Between Therapist and Client: The New Relationship
Michael Kahn

This book examines one of the most interesting and challenging aspects of psychotherapy, that of the therapist and client relationship. Kahn discusses theoretical information and explains it in such a way that it can be understood and utilised within daily practice with clients. Kahn shows how classical transference analysis can be combined with contemporary humanistic emphasis on warmth and empathy. With discussion of ethics and the minefield of transference and countertransference. It is appropriate as a supplement for courses on psychotherapy and counselling in both theory and practice.
