Buddhist Meditation and Discussion Group |
Beginners level meditation class is run on the second and fourth Sunday of each month. These sessions are designed to help you learn about meditation using Vipassana (Insight) and Calm Abiding techniques, its benefits and how it can be used on a daily basis to help you achieve a calm and relaxed state of mind. All sessions start and end with short prayers.
Cost: Free! Donations are welcome to help pay towards the cost of hiring a venue!

The School of Ecstatic Movement Teacher Training will empower you to be a passionate, inspired and confident teacher, to hold space safely for others to transform, to guide people into their bodies and hearts.
You will learn the unique method of Ecstatic Shake & Dance (TM) .. an Active Meditation that uses movement, dance, breath and awareness to release stuck energy and awaken you to your true nature of love and freedom. This method was formerly known as Ecstatic Trance Dance ... but it has nothing to do with being in a trance .. this is a wake up method!
The training is taught by Amoda and co-facilitated by Beckie Hanscombe ... 5 non-residential weekend modules in London plus one fully residential module outside London. Includes theory, practice and Certification in the Method and in Empowerment.
One module per month .. starts in January 2011.

Walshaw Lodge is pround to offer two yoga retreats hosted by Anusara inspired teacher Kanta Barrios.
Kanta had her first experience of yoga at the age of six in her hometown Mexico City. She spent 12 years as a long term resident student of yoga, meditation, and philosophy in Siddha Yoga Meditation Ashrams in India, the United States and around the world traveling with her teacher, Gurumayi Chidvilasananda.
She is passionate about yoga therapeutics, meditation and philosophy. She believes a steady yoga and meditation practice with a clear intention can open and strengthen the body, mind and heart and can allow us to improve in every aspect of our lives.
Walshaw Lodge offers luxury, rural accommodation secluded in the heart of Brontë Country, just outside Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire.
